Jonathan S. Dickstein, a former partner with Morrison & Foerster, was sentenced to one year in jail for bilking $400,000 from the San Francisco School District and Blue Cross (Morrison & Foerster’s insurance provider.)
Previosuly, Dickstein has pleaded guilty to 31 felony counts.
According to the “PressRoom” of San Francisco District Attorney, court documents provide that “Jonathan Dickstein and spouse Barclay Lynn sent invoices seeking “reimbursement” from the San Francisco Unified School District for special education services provided to their son by a company called “Puzzle Pieces.” Documents filed with the court allege that “Puzzle Pieces” was actually a fictitious business name created by Dickstein and Lynn themselves, and that Dickstein and Lynn went to great lengths to hide that they were Puzzle Pieces.”
