$7500 — UPS and Morrison & Foerster Scholar
Raised in an African American neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, Christine has developed an international perspective on grassroots organizing and public policy advocacy. While an undergraduate at Wellesley, Christine studied abroad for a year in France. After college, she spent two years in Rwanda and Kenya working with the Clinton Foundation’s HIV/AIDS initiative to develop programs to increase pediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment. Upon returning to the United States, she worked as a field organizer for the Democratic Party in the 2008 election cycle. Christine hopes to work in health care policy after law school.
