Yolo County Superior Court Judge and Davis Odd Fellows President / Director David Reed. Subsequent to allegation made by Yolo County-based Rabbi that David Rosenberg, Lea Rosenberg, and David Reed may have misused Davis Odd Fellows (and related charities) to launder money in order to bribe Barbara Sommer of Progress Ranch on behalf of Cache Creek Casino, in pleadings dated June 21, 2013 David Reed falsely declared under penalty of perjury that “DAVIS ODD FELLOWS HAVE NEVER MADE CONTRIBUTIONS OR PARTICIPATED IN FUND-RAISING FOR PROGRESS RANCH“. On December 29, 2010, The Davis Enterprise reported:

“The Davis Odd Fellows Lodge has announced it is contributing $6,500 to eight local charities and community groups as beneficiaries from the annual Breakfast with Santa held December 11, 2010

“In addition to providing a fun experience with Santa for 360 children and families, we are pleased to be able to help others during this holiday season,” said Lea Rosenberg, an Odd Fellow who co-chaired the breakfast.

Recipients of the donations are: $1,500 to Progress Ranch, which provides a home to foster children.

“Because of donations of food and other items for the breakfast, as well as financial donations from sponsors, the Odd Fellows are able to keep the cost of Breakfast with Santa at a really low level, and also have funds remaining to benefit these important community groups,” said Dave Reed, noble grand of the Davis Odd Fellows Lodge. “ (emphasis added)

Barbara Sommer (who currently serves as the president of Progress Ranch; President of California Grand Jurors’ Association – Yolo County Chapter) is being looked into for indications of whether she may have been the recipient of questionable gifts during a time period when she served concurrently as Treasurer of Progress Ranch and Foreperson of Yolo County’s Grand Jury in order to influence the outcome of various legal proceedings, and especially a Grand Jury investigation of Cache Creek Casino located in Yolo County. “The 175 members of the Davis Odd Fellows Lodge look forward to Breakfast with Santa every year because it brings so much joy and pleasure to the children and families who participate,” said Dave Reed, Noble Grand of the lodge.

Proceeds from the event will support emancipated foster youths as they transition to adulthood and Progress Ranch, a group home for foster boys in Davis.”

Sonya Molodetskaya—Russian refugee, aspiring boutique owner, mostly absentee immigrant rights commissioner, and decade-long lady friend of ex-mayor Willie Brown—has a zebra pelt on her living room floor. She ordered it on eBay for $1,500; she thinks it came from Zimbabwe. In her closet hang enough chinchilla, sable, and silver fox coats to inspire a PETA protest. The collection includes the tan mink parka that she was wearing when she stepped off the plane at SFO at age 24, back in 1996, after her parents forced her to leave her social life (and boyfriend) in Moscow and reinvent herself as a Russian Jewish émigré in the Outer Sunset.

But hers is no typical immigrant tale, as evidenced by the tower of orange Hermès boxes in the closet, the shelves of stilettos, the 2011 Jaguar convertible in the garage across the street, and the giant black-and-white painting on the living room wall: Molodetskaya wearing a lacy bra and—what else?—a fur, mob-wife style. Across the room is a baby grand piano. She learned to play after her father greased the palm of a Muscovite schoolmaster, but she’s reneging on her promise to serenade me: She has an earache that kept her cooped up at home yesterday, as well as a gash on her hand incurred while slicing Spanish chorizo for a snack.

We’re sitting on Molodetskaya’s couch on a Tuesday afternoon, her earache beginning to subside thanks to a liberal infusion of red wine—each of us is on our second glass. “I can’t live this life sober,” she says in a rich accent that rolls out like a blend of Moscow and Queens. She’s joking—sort of. Having spent several afternoons and evenings in her company, I have learned her terms: There is no interview with Sonya unless you drink with Sonya. She calls this Russian hospitality, and I’ve been subject to it at the Four Seasons Hotel, at a Marina hair salon before a symphony gala, and at Jardinière after a marathon Immigrant Rights Commission meeting—from which she stepped out and asked me, “Where’s the drink?”

Burton continue to be unraveled by TLR, speculations over the potential
past harassment of Remke by Burton continue to percolate within the
State Bar establishment.

In connection with the above, TLR continues with the investigation of
the “60 Days Suspension” scandal involving the pogrom in San
Francisco and a subsequent cover-up by the State Bar of California.
The investigation focuses on the former crack/cocaine addict Mike
Nisperos, Jeff Dal Cerro, former PJ Stovitz, as well as Judge JoAnn
Remke and the former cocaine addict John Burton.

John Burton, a former cocaine-addict and a sordid-sexual-harasser
boasted about engaging in “platonic sex with friends, lesbians and
straight, whatever”

Previously, Burton was accused by a staff member, KATHLEEN DRISCOLL, of
sexually harassing her.

Kathleen alleged that beginning in 2006 Burton begun to call for
immediate meeting during the weekend to go over routine matters, and
insisted that they go to the movies first.

Kathleen also alleged that during her employment Burton communicated the
following to her:

Telling KATHLEEN you are “probably wild sexually like all
Catholic girls”

Informing KATHLEEN on approximately three occasions that he often had
“platonic sex with friends, lesbians and straight,
whatever”

Making hand gestures mimicking masturbation on approximately 10
occasions;

“When you drop stuff off, stop in will ya? I mean I’m not getting laid under the fuckin’ table.”

Informing KATHLEEN on approximately 20 occasions throughout her
employment, “Oh, I had a dream about you last night,”
while raising his eyebrows in a sexually suggestive manner;

Making comments regarding KATHLEEN wearing a thong on
approximately 20 occasions during her employment;

Commenting on KATHLEEN ’S body, particularly her breasts and her
buttocks. On one occasion BURTON commented, “Your nipples aren’t showing
and its cold outside.”

Handing KATHLEEN an insurance form with a prescription for a male
performance enhancing drug similar to Viagra and saying, “This
stuff really works;”

On one occasion, as KATHLEEN walked past him, BURTON raised both his
hands and made a gesture as though he were squeezing KATHLEEN ’S
breasts;

Hitting KATHLEEN on the buttocks with a newspaper and saying, “You do
work out, you have a tight ass”

Telling KATHLEEN that her t-shirt turned him on because it was made
from silk and silk turned him on;

Judge JoAnn Remke, Presiding Judge of the State Bar Court who was
appointed to the position of State Bar Court judge by John Burton.

As was previously reported here, JoAnn Remke was appointed to the
position of State Bar Court judge by John Burton after he introduced
special legislation which granted him the power to do so, transferring
the appointing authority from the Supreme Court to himself and
eliminating the position of one non-lawyer judge.

At the time, Remke was working for the California legislature, and for
Burton himself. Additionally, John Burton was a political ally and
friend of the father of the attorney who committed the pogrom in San
Francisco. As also previously reported here, JoAnn Remke was the
State Bar Court judge who imposed, while committing grave misconduct,
the mere 60 day suspension on the attorney/son of John Burton’s friend.

Asked to comment on this matter, a State Bar Insider and a legal counsel
to TLR, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated “Obviously, we are
talking about a very sick and filthy man who knows no boundaries, a
sexual predator,” The Insider Stated. “I would not rule out the
possibility that in the past he also sexually harassed Judge Remke–
either verbally, physically or in the form of a quid pro-quo, or at
least he tried,” the Insider speculated.

“Burton’s M.O. very much reminds me of the M.O. of various Hollywood
executives or operatives in the Democratic Party, such as Bill Clinton.
They operate under the assumption that the females on the staff are
there to provide sexual favors–a quick blow-job here and a quickie
there–they see nothing wrong with it; in fact they expect it.
Especially from females who are recent arrivals from the Midwest, who
desperately try to make a name for themselves,” the insider stated.
“Seeing Willie Brown with his Russian girlfriend also makes one wonders
if there is any exploitation going on there,” the Insider opined.

experience. I don’t think she ever litigated a case, nor did she ever
run a law-firm to know what the average practitioner has to deal with.
However, having said that, if her appointment to the bench was a result
of any form of sexual harassment, or even perhaps a relationship based
on mutual consent, is not for me to say. Only she and him know that,”
the Insider stated.

motivated , such as the short-lived appointment of Kimiko Burton by
Willie Brown to head the Public Defender’s Office in San Francisco, the
insider stated “I do not think she is politically connected, at least

was impressed with her skills. The few trials I had before her while
she was a hearing judge, she appeared to have a very good control of the
court room, and she will not hesitate to raise her voice and yell at
counsel, either a man or women. She is smart, tough when need be, and
overall a sharp cookie. Hopefully, if Burton did try to impose his
filth on her, I hope she managed to resist him.” the insider concluded.

CHIEF JUSTICE RONALD GEORGE TO RETIRE, WILL NOT SEEK RE-ELECTION

Ronald Marc George, the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court,
announced today (July 14, 2010) his retirement from the bench. George
served as the chief justice for the last 14 years, and as a judge for
the last 38 years. His retirement will be effective Jan. 2, 2011.

Justice George said the time was right for him to return to private life
“My 70th birthday this year focused my attention on a question recently
posed by my family: Why file for re-election for another 12-year term,
after having authored hundreds of judicial opinions and overseen major
administrative reforms in the judicial system … What more do you hope
to accomplish other than refining and preserving what has been
achieved?”

He recently received national attention by supporting gay marriage.
George alluded to a trip he made with his European immigrant parents
through the American South. There, the signs warning “No Negro” or “No
colored” left “quite an indelible impression on me,” he said. “I think
there are times when doing the right thing means not playing it safe.”

Since starting to investigate the Howard Miller scandal, I also had
to examine the role of his friend, the Chief Justice of the California
Supreme Court, Ronald George. (As you recall, Ronald George was the one
who appointed Howard Miller’s confederate, Thomas Girardi, to the
California Judicial Council. It is shocking that Justice George, who
oversees the State Bar of California, never bother to mention to anyone
that the law firm of Girardi & Keese is being investigated by a
special master and a special prosecutor at the time Miller was appointed
president of the State Bar.)

After law school, George joined the office of the California Attorney
General in order to do good, and ever since he has been doing very
well, indeed. Apparently, his wife Barbara and his son Eric are also
doing well; so don’t you worry none about them. Although you may be
repulsed, like I am, from the “all you can grab” attitude that they
developed through the years.

Barbara George is a member of the California Arts Council, a position
to which she was first appointed in 1994 and was subsequently
re-appointed in 1999 and 2003 by Gov. Gray Davis. She is also the chair
of the California Supreme Court Art Selection Committee. The
California Supreme Court Art Selection Committee is in charge of
choosing art for display in buildings used by the California Supreme
Court.

His son, Eric George, who graduated from law school, may very well be
a very capable lawyer. However, he did not resist the temptation to
take advantage of the fact that he is the “son of Ronald George” in
order to boost his ego and his legal career.

After law school, he somehow managed to secure a position as a
deputy legal affair secretary to the Governor of California. He was
hired solely due to his qualification. Later, he worked for the Senate
Judiciary Committee, and then back home to Beverly Hills. Currently,
he is in private practice in Los Angeles. He also sits on a panel
that makes state-level judicial recommendations. Also a position that
he obtained solely due to his qualification.

Moreover, when researching Ronald George’s background, in addition to
the expected legal materials, I also kept bumping into stories and
pictures of him in social events. Apparently, he decided to assume the
role of a fool that San Francisco had once for a mayor– Willie
Brown.

In doing the research, I had to familiarize myself with brands and
names that I wasn’t familiar with. For example, Tatiana. Apparently she
is a super-model. There is a picture of the Chief Justice of the
California Supreme Court Ronald George enjoying a conversation after a
long day on the bench with the super-model— Tatiana. He must have
approached her thinking she was Bar Rafaeli.

If Tatiana goes to law school, regardless of the job-market, I know
one law-firm in San Francisco that will surely extend her an offer. Bar
will be hired regardless of membership in any bar. But before that will
happen, both will need to refresh their wordrobe with the new collection
of local designer extraordinaire, Lily Samii.

In addition to Tatiana and Lily Samii, another brand I had to
familiarize myself with is BVLGARI. Took me awhile to understand that
the V is actually a U. So there is a picture of Ronald George in
BULGARI, BVULGRI, sorry here BVLRAGI store opening in San Francisco.
Apparently, it is a luxury store that sells Italian jewelry and
watches.

If not for him, she would not be where she is today, especially considering her young age when she was first appointed as a judge with the Hearing Department. She had very little life and very little legal experience. I don’t think she ever litigated a case, nor did she ever run a law-firm to know what the average practitioner has to deal with. However, having said that, if her appointment to the bench was a result of any form of sexual harassment, or even perhaps a relationship based on mutual consent, is not for me to say. Only she and him know that,” the Insider stated.

Pressed by TLR as to the fact that many appointments are politically motivated , such as the short-lived appointment of Kimiko Burton by Willie Brown to head the Public Defender’s Office in San Francisco, the insider stated “I do not think she is politically connected, at least not based on my knowledge. I would not rule out the fact that Burton was impressed with her skills. The few trials I had before her while she was a hearing judge, she appeared to have a very good control of the court room, and she will not hesitate to raise her voice and yell at counsel, either a man or women. She is smart, tough when need be, and overall a sharp cookie. Hopefully, if Burton did try to impose his filth on her, I hope she managed to resist him.” the insider concluded.
